Moving on day....our last day in England! We were up in good time, a quick breakfast and then the challenge of getting everything into our luggage so we can 'easily' take it with us when we surrender the car in Peterborough. We did it! Into Peterborough in good time, found the train station and then off to find the car drop-off and caught a taxi back to the train station....all done with relative ease!
We had a while to wait before our train, but we were early enough at the station that we were able to catch an earlier one. One minor problem that we had overlooked....didn't have seat reservations and the train was pretty full with rugby fans heading to Newcastle. We ended up standing the first half of the journey near the doors where folk stow their luggage....not the most comfortable, but all part of the adventure.

In Newcastle, a lot of seats became available....lucky us, so the rest of the journey was quite a bit more comfortable.
In Edinburgh, we had to switch trains and didn't have lot of time to do so. We scrambled, got on what we thought was the correct train, and a very kind lady, having noticed our Canadian flag, and the amount of our luggage, suggested that we would probably be better off taking the direct train to Glasgow, instead of the 'milk-run' one that we are on. To that kind Scottish lady....thank you!

A relatively quick taxi ride to our hotel called the Urban Village Resort in Glasgow, followed by a quick check in, then supper at the pub and then on to our evening of blogging....trying to get caught up, and I think we're there!
