Apart from our very first day here, today has been the only one when the sun hasn't shone all day. Now don't get us wrong, it hasn't rained today, but it has been overcast, and having just said that, the sun broke through as though to prove us wrong and have the last say!
Very new & modern Urban Village Resort
The Urban Resort Hotel where we are currently staying has a swimming pool, a 20 metre pool, and Jonathan got up early(ish) to try it out. He swam for an hour and half, and for most of that time was the only one in the pool. Good stuff!

Upon returning to the room, Deb informed him that the tour we are joining called to let us know that the first day of the Glasgow portion was leaving, but they had not indicated anything like this in their literature or correspondence. We ended up missing it as a result and we are both a wee bit pissed off by this!

Hallway inside Mitchell Library

So, we walked to the library, half hour walk, where Deb settled in to do a bit of genealogy research, while Jonathan went off to the local 'laundromat'. Wow....was it a zoo! He had to wait an hour just to get a washing machine...doing your laundry at one of these establishments is an adventure all by itself!

After that it was off to the Menzies Hotel, the pick up point for Jonathan's replacement Master Card, and because of the amount of walking done so far today, we opted to take a taxi back to our hotel.

We were able to connect with our tour group for dinner at the hotel restaurant. The three course meal was all very good and large servings, and of course, ate too much.....but then again, we are on holiday.
